NSAA Releases Class A Boys District Basketball Pairings


Lincoln Southeast and Lincoln North Star will host boys district basketball tournaments that start this weekend.  Southeast plays Omaha Burke at 5:15pm Saturday to open up the A-6 tournament at the Prasch Activities Center.  Lincoln Southwest plays Bellevue East in the other half of the bracket at 7pm.  North Star will open up the A-4 tournament against Lincoln East at

Creighton coach: 2 more wins enough for NCAA bid


OMAHA, Neb. (AP) - Creighton coach Greg McDermott says the Bluejays should lock up their first NCAA tournament bid since 2007 if they can finish the regular season with two wins. NSAA Names Blanford-Green As New Executive Director

Creighton assistant coach arrested in DUI case


BELLEVUE, Neb. (AP) - An assistant coach of the Creighton University women's basketball team has been arrested on suspicion of drunken driving. Bellevue police arrested Carrie Moore early Sunday morning. Officers had been called to a McDonald's around 2:50 a.m. by employees who'd found Moore asleep in her vehicle.
