WICS (Women in Community Service) Residence is Lincoln's group home for girls transitioning through adolescence to adulthood...providing the tools needed for positive change. We are a non-profit organization which provides a structured living environment for young women who are considered at risk. Whether they have experienced a family crisis, behavioral / emotional problems or alcohol / drug abuse, we are here to help them. We provide adjunct therapy, educational tutoring and support, independent living & social skills training and weekly outings. Our typical girl is: from Nebraska, between 13 & 18 years old, a ward of the state, a student and with us for 6 months. Growth and change are not always easy; infact, it is sometimes very difficult...but it is possible, and can be very rewarding.
